28 days till the big concert in the gorge so I am going to keep with the theme of featuring some acts playing the festival, more so for my own selfish goal of knowing some music from everyone there but should still be interesting to everyone else. Also the HD cam came in the mail so expect some concert footage from the Twelves and Grum show to be posted on thursday (probably late afternoon because I will for sure be hung over).
OK Go
When I saw that OK Go was playing Sasquatch I thought "I guess it will be cool to hear that one song they have live",that song being Here it Goes Again, the one from the crazy treadmill video. Well it turns out OK Go has kinda changed their sound. Their newest album Of The Blue Colour Of the Sky, which dropped in January, seems like they have more of a funk vibe and the vocals kinda remind me of Prince. I was totally ready to write these guys off but I like the new direction they are taking and hopefully it translates to a good live show.
I have three tracks off of their newest album to let you listen too, the second one being remixed by Passion Pit so naturally its my fav of the three. Im still not 100% on board with OK Go but you check it out for yourself and see what you think.
P.S. I still can't stop listening to that Crystal Castles Baptism track that Jay posted, it is soooo friggin good. I got the whole album and its solid so if you like that one check out the rest of the disc. Sidenote I have three days off in a row, thinking about going to Lethbridge so whoever is still in Lethbridge send me a text.
